Nokia N900 Review: First Smartphone OS Maemo 5- Nokia Smartphones, the difference between the Nokia N900 with previous Nokia phones is a Maemo 5. Nokia N900 no longer uses the Symbian operating system, but would prefer to use Linux-based operating system, Maemo 5 with multi-tasking capability that better.
Maemo 5 previously used on Nokia Internet tablets. With the launch of the Nokia N900, Maemo 5 made its debut on mobile chassis size. In addition to Maemo 5, the Nokia N900 also brought along a full Mozilla browser with full flash support for version 9.4.

For the convenience of the Nokia N900 to use QWERTY keyboard slider models (slides out). And in order to accommodate the ability of Maemo 5, the Nokia N900 uses ARM Cortex-A8 processor, OpenGL ES 2.0 and 256 MB of RAM.

The front of the Nokia N900 is 3.5 inch WVGA screen resolution of 800 x 480 pixel touchscreen with support for a more responsive dianding previous nokia phones. With such hardware support, run the application would be more comfortable. All running applications will be displayed continuously on the dashboard, the homescreen can also easily be personalized through shortcuts, widgets and applications.

In terms of storage, the Nokia N900 has a 32 GB storage and can be expanded up to 48 GB via the microSD card. Other features that complement the Nokia N900 is a GPS receiver with ovi maps, FM transmitter, a standard 3.5 mm audio jack equipped with TV Out function, bluetooth and support for DivX / XviD.

Nokia N900 is also equipped with 5 MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics label that can be used to record video with a 16:9 ratio with a resolution of 848 x 480 pixels @ 25 frames per second. Tag cloud interface is also added to allow users to do taging and sharing photos and video.

Unlocked Phone

This unlocked cell phone can be used with a GSM network service provider. It doesn’t come with a SIM card, and it needs that you offer a SIM card for usage with your choosed service provider. This nokia smartphone comes with a full manufacturer's warranty.

  1. Nokia N900 is unique in terms of physical appearance and chrome edging calls for very less competition from other smartphones in the market. Operating system is pretty good to along with all the applications. Overall, this phone is a good entry by Nokia.
